I had the best day with you today....

Yesterday was the best day with Lily. Actually the whole weekend was fabulous. You know those weekends where you get absolutely nothing done but you feel like you got so much family QT your heart could burst? That is what this weekend was for me. My laundry is piled up to disastrous proportions, and my floor has dog tumbleweeds floating on it, but there is no doubt in my heart that Lily knows she is loved. I hope I remember this forever! We didn't even do much, but I enjoyed just being together and watching her play with Michael and not worrying about anything except how perfect the day was!

We went to see the Easter Bunny on Saturday and then out toy shopping, and errand running. Mainly, to look for a tricycle for Lily. She had so much fun riding them around the store. She loved it. We still haven't picked a definite one though. She liked them all so it did not help us narrow down much.

Then on Sunday we got up and spent the whole morning/early afternoon at the park. We had a picnic and then played for hours. She was running, sliding, kicking, laughing, and it was all amazing! I even gave her a big girl hair do for the day. Here is the day in pictures....

It was a gorgeous day! A little chilly until after lunch but clear skies as far are you could see.
This was the first time we have taken her to the park and she didn't really need a whole lot of help from us to do anything. She was climbing and slding like a pro.

Of course we were still hovering though....

She didn't care too much for the twirling cups. I don't blame her. I spun around a few times and tearfully asked Michael to stop me before I puked in front of the dozens of kids. If you show weakness you are toast!

After it warmed up we took off our jacket (and pulled down our skirt a few times!) and started letting loose.
Disclaimer: All the belly shots are because Michael put her shirt on. I am thinking this shirt needs to be retired!

The only toy we brought was her favorite red ball. She has learned how to kick the ball recently so we were playing a light game of soccer for awhile.

One of my favorites...
Or maybe this one is my favorite...
Or this one....

ooooo or this one....
She had a little pep in her step. By now it is 2pm and she should have been down for her nap hours ago...but you couldn't tell by her mood! Daylight savings threw off or schedule a bit. She barely took a nap that day!

I wish everyday with my family was like this. It makes you wish you had less responsibility and more carefree moments. It makes you wish for simple things like a cloudless day and a bucket of chicken with a swingset to make your child smile. Today was the best day with you....
